On January 1, 2017, I began my year long project that continued through December. With my Standard Poodle, I walked at least a mile throughout the garden, writing and sketching in my journal...In some cases, I did a mosaic or a woodcut print to record what I saw...With so many natives in the garden, I had no trouble choosing my favorites to portray in art.
